The Togo medical call centre was funded by Ford Foundation and run by Vision Tech have spent 2 years developing diagnosis software with Ministries of Health in various ECOWAS countries and is built especially for West Africa. 
The tool can also be used by patients to check their own symptoms, or the symptoms of                                                        someone they are concerned about. Supporting patients self-care avoids medical facilities becoming overwhelmed.
